Skinny Note Pads

Hi everybody today is my day at She's a Sassy Lady and
I will shared how to make these cute Skinny Note Pads
that you can personalize any way you need.
for the note pad I bought 5x8 writing pad from
Staples and took it to their copy counter and had
them cut the red line off and then cut in 3 times vertically.
These are the supplies you will need
8.5 x 5 piece of cardstock
8x 2 1/8 piece of pattern paper
1 5/8 x 1 7/8 piece of pattern paper
2 inch scallop oval (Art Philosophy)
1.5 oval (Art Philosophy)
Ribbon
Marker
Adhesive
Note pad
Stamps ( I used Lawn Fawn Jessie's ABCs, these are great
stamps. You should check these out.)

First score the 8.5x5 paper at 2 3/8x 2 5/8.
Next I died the Seem Binding ribbon with a Copic marker.
Then glue the ribbon to the solid cardstock and attach the
pattern paper.

Now tape your the 1 5/8 x 1 7/8 piece of pattern paper to the
top of the note pad then apply the adhesive to the back of the
pad and put in the in the holder.

Lastly stamp your sentiment to the ovals and attach to front and
your all done. Easy Peasy.
Hope you like and thanks for visiting.

Sorry for the way the post looks, I have no idea why it looks like this.

Peachy Keen Challenge 18: Anything Goes

I made this for the Peachy Keen Challenge where you can make anything you want as long as you use Peachy Keen stamps.
I got the strawberry cut and the basket cut from the Silhouette online store and used the Peachy Keen Everyday Faces stamp set. I cut lime green paper into strips and ran it through a paper crimper for the grass and used some lace I found at Joanns'. I really wanted to use the Cricut cartridge "Spring Cottage" but could not find it in any store and ordering it would take to long so Silhouette Cameo to the rescue.

Hope you like it, it was really fun to make.

For the new I made the box from Tags Bags Boxes and More 2. For the old I used Cricut Cake Basics for the "Happy Birthday" and Forever Young for the flower.

That's it for now but I will be back later for one last challenge.

Thanks for looking.

Cricut Circle Scraps Only

You had to make a layout only using your scraps and use your Cuttlebug in some way. I love this one because I got rid of so much little papers.

Post It Note Holder with matching pen

Today I am the guest designer at She's A Sassy Lady, so I thought I would share it hear too.

Today I am sharing I project that is super easy to make. First I would like to apologize because I wanted to make it with a 4x6 frame but realized to late that I only had 3.5x5 frames but it works great whatever size you choose to use.

For the first note holder I decorated it with a Spring theme and will change it for every season or holiday.
With the second I used the same paper because I love it and it has pink butterflies and made a year long calendar to go one it.
To make these you will need
- a 3.5 by 5 piece of cardstock
- a 4x6 or 3.5 by 5 acrylic picture frame (I got mine from the Christmas Tree Shop bit they have them at Walmart)
- a monthly calendar print out calendar from the web (search 2012 monthly calendar and print the one you like the best)
- a 2.5 by 2.5 square of cardstock to attach to the calendar
- a 1 by 3 1/4 inch piece of matching cardstock for the pen
- a regular size post it note and
- a embellishment for your season/holiday holder

First you put the cardstock in the frame.
For the pen, you twist the end on the pen off and remove the pen and put it on top of the paper and roll in tightly around the pen then insert it back in the pen.

Then you add your embellishments and your all done.

I hope you like my project and hope you will try it out.

I hope you like it and wish me luck.

Tags Bags Boxes and More 2 Showcase Day 4

Today I made the Heart Gable box on page 26. As usual I cut it at fit to page which was only 6 1/4. This definitely one of the ones you would use the box sections features to make the box bigger. I really like the scoring blade it makes folding the box sooo much easier. It was really is easy. I decided to use some hello kitty ribbon I found  at Michaels (if only I could find some hello kitty scrapbook paper).
Hope you like it and see you tomorrow.

Tags Bags Boxes and More 2 Showcase Day 3

Today I made the tea cup and saucer on page 29, it is cut at fit to page which was 11 1/2. The project was super easy to make. I stamped the tea cup with flourishes that made me think of my great grandmother's good tea cups she used to let me drink out.
Hope you like it and see you tomorrow.

Tags Bags Boxes and More 2 Showcase Day 2

Today I made the Craker box on page 61. It is cut at fit to page which was 8 3/4.
The first time a cut it, I just cut it without the scoring blade was a BIG mistake. In my opinion you can not do this box with scoring it some how, either with the new scoring tip or using your bade set way down. The second time I cut it I used the new scoring tip which was much easier. I was not sure how you are supposed to close this box so I just used ribbon.
I really like the way it turned out. If you have any question, please feel free to ask. See you tomorrow and thanks for coming by.

Here is the first box. It is the Place Settings Box on page 58 cut at fit to page which was 9 inches.
Hope you like it. This is a ready nice cartridge.

See you tomorrow.
