My New Toy

So I am back to show my new toy I had my husband buy mr as an early Valentine's present.

Here it is........
Yep, it's a Silhouette Cameo and I LOVE IT. Don't get me wrong I still love my cricut and will still use it a lot because I love it and have spent way too much money on it not to use it.
I really like the Cameo although there is a some getting use to, like the noise it makes when it cuts. It sounds like it's dying or something. It also cuts very nice.
I mostly got it because of the reviews I read plus I love the idea of the Silhouette Studio store ( I have actually spent hours looking through it and every week they give away a free design and have 50 cents clearance weekly) and just buying what I need. I have already used my $10 gift card that came with it and I got 100 free designs with the machine.

So here is the first thing that I made. I think this is the first thing most people make when the get it.
It's one of the free designs that comes with it, it's called the control panel. I used the heart paper for Valentine's Day and will change it for any holiday.

Check back tomorrow, I will be posting a project that will make you want to get a Silhouette.

Please let me know if you have any questions about it.

What a great gift! I'm glad you like it! I myself wasn't a fan of the noise, but then again, my craft room is my loft so the noise echos. Looking forward to seeing all you create with it!

i just got the cameo also and love, love, love it. i like that you can make very small precise cuts. one of the things i've always disliked about the cricut is not being able to make those small cuts. i also like being able to buy just the designs i'm interested in instead of having to buy a whole cart for just a few cuts. much more economical. i don't find the noise to be a problem. personally i don't think it's any more noisey than the cricut. enjoy your new toy.
